Tour of Pompeii and Amalfi Coast (9 hours) Round Trip 95 miles

This excursion combines the great experience of exploring the Ruins of Pompeii together with the highlights of some of the most beautiful scenic drive along the Amalfi Coast. After meeting at the port we will leave the bay of Naples dominated by the Mt. Vesuvius and reach on a 60 minutes relaxing drive the Ruins of Pompeii, the most famous excavations in the world. You will need a two hours walk through the pathways to completely appreciate the remains of buildings, temples, baths, markets with there restored frescoes, mosaics and marble decorations. The site is not wheelchair accessible. Comfortable walking shoes, hat and sunglasses are suggested. We will then drive along the coast proceeding towards Sorrento and Positano, surrounded by a breathless panorama with cliffs, little villages full of character and colors so typical of this area. You can stop for an optional lunch in one of the many waterfront restaurants serving excellent fish just caught and shopping in the many little stores offering local products from Positano style shoes and clothes, to handcraft ceramic and lemon liqueur (famous limoncello). Finally we will drive back to the ship.
